imagine me without you-*

As long as stars shine down from heaven
And the rivers run into the sea
Til the end of time forever
You are the only love I'll need

In my life you are all that matters
In my eyes the only truth I see
When my hopes and dreams have shattered
You are the one that's there for me

When I found you I was blessed
And I will never leave you, I need you

Imagine me without you
I'd be lost and so confused
I wouldn't last a day, I'd be afraid
Without you there to see me through

Imagine me without you
Lord, you know it's just impossible
Because of you, it's all brand new
My life is now worthwhile
I can't imagine me without you

When you caught me I was falling
Your love lifted me back on my feet
It was like you heard me calling
And you rush to set me free

When I found you I was blessed
And I will never leave you, I need you

When I found you I was blessed
And I will never leave you, I need you oh

I can't imagine me without you

when you say you love me xD

    gratitude

Fathers' Day is approaching, have you thought of what to give your dad? Or are you even bothered by this day?

There are many days marked to celebrate such joyous occasions, Fathers' Day, Mothers' Day, Grandparents' Day, Children's Day, Youth Day, Teachers' Day, Thanksgiving Day. Indeed these days have largely been commercialised for retailers to earn money from their gimmicks and promotions, but still the meaning of such occasions still doesnt change. Whether such a day has been commercialised, the bottomline is still about showing your gratitude.

How long have you not shown your gratitude to people around you? Your family members, the people in school, the people who helped you in one way or another. Was it last year when you said 'thank you' to your teachers for grooming you and helping you along when you couldnt catch up, that last May when you wished your mum Happy Mothers' Day and in June, Happy Fathers' Day to your dad?

That I guess many a times we are so caught up with the many happenings around us that we only (remember to) say our word of appreciation on such occasions. I like to challenge you, to always express your gratitude to people around you who have helped you in one way or another, no matter how trival the contribution might have seem to you. Smile/Greet the bus driver when you board the bus, say 'thank you' when you are running after the bus and the bus driver actually waits for you. It's courtesy as well. Don't take things for granted. Say thank you to your family for everything that they have done, and EACH time they make you the slightest happier person :) You dont have to wait till Fathers' Day to say thank you to your dad. Do it when you think you should, and well you always should.

Friends around you, dont take their existence for granted as well. Be nice and always be appreciative of their presence. Know that you are not their only friend and that their 'decision' to want to go out with you and to listen/talk to you is something you should be grateful for. Say your thanks to your friends. It can be through a note, a card, a sms, a phone call, an email, during a msn conversation or simply face-to-face. the channels of communication are endless, it only depends if you are willing to communicate your gratitude.

    ---
And so, Ms Lee Shimin, stop thinking that I write postcards for fun k. I write that for good reason :) doesnt it cheer you when you receive a postcard/note/sms and someone loves having you in his/her life? i bet you do. I MEAN, the previous line is meant for everyone to think about, not just Ms Lee haha.

I wrote this entry because I feel that I have fantastic parents who loves me, supports me, cares for my well-being and happiness that I cant help but love them as much too! :D I'm thankful for having parents who reasons issues with me, offer their advice and experience, but leave the final decision-making to me. for having implacable faith that i wont disappoint them, and though at times that certainly do pressurise me slightly to perform up to expectations, i know i have the freedom i desire to have and im happy and thankful.

    june holidays

out of obligations, i have to blog.

i suggested to fongyee to have a social dinner this holidays, as part of wanling's early birthday celebrations. since i think we have never celebrated her birthday before >.< the bad thing about being born in june.

tomorrow is the long-awaited camp. and cynthia told me some kids are overseas and some attending holidays remedial lessons, so there will only be like 25 participants left. gee. but thats the size of my current class as well, hmm but divided by 4, will be the size of my clique. let's see how it goes tomorrow. i have absolute faith in my facilitators, all the witty and fun people :D

trying to get my mum to sponsor me to watch Big Fool Lee, directed by Peter Sau. in the past before i joined huangcheng, the only theatrical performance was Such Sweet Sorrow, a show the school sent the entire cohort down to watch and Barefoot in the Park by ELDDS. but now, maybe because im in chinese society and am activity i/c, so i source for upcoming shows and i think our arts scene actually does deserves our support.

if you are bored and contemplating to watch a movie just for fun, why not save up that money and top it up to watch some other theatrical performances that is really worthwhile. and students usually get discounts :P

if u want recommendation, ask me, there are quite a few shows this June and coming up in August which are worth watching :) or you can go to Sistic website to look.

watching theatrical performances can be an option for a date too :D its not always about hollywood, support theatre! :)

    Tote Board Fund Grant (Arts)

    DO YOU KNOW...

If you watch a performance that is supported by the National Arts Council, you can actually get reimbursement of $20 or up to 60% of the ticket price, whichever is lower, from your school's Tote Board Fund Grant. Each student is entitled to one claim per year.

Shows under the Singapore Arts Festival are supported by NAC.

I just realised the above information recently and thought more people should know about this (:

    sociology

i want to take up sociology in university. something rather unpopular amongst my HP-mates who are planning to take up Law & International Affairs.

though im not that sure why i want sociology. i like observing people and making sense of their behavious, coming up with ten reasons of each action. and maybe thats also why im starting to like the arts.

i wonder, when a girl's period is approaching, does she start to form more negative thoughts than normal? because i think i do. or is it just a concidence?

i like class outing yesterday. i ate a lot, and i won jiaen in the eating competition, not because i ate more, but because we couldnt eat anymore, so the deciding factor was whoever washes her hand first loses. haha we went up to yuhui's house and because i took forever to take off my shoes, she went to the washroom first and well washed her hands before i did. im growing to like A14.

and i miss some 4g girls. beiru, tessa, huipeng, jiayi. havent seen them or talked to them for quite sometime.

i hope fongyee received my letter from fungmin. that was a 2 page long one.
